Career & Creativity

I made the decision, or rather, followed a calling, to become an entrepreneur when I was 19.
That path first led me into real estate, where I sold investment properties in Philadelphia while I was still in college 🏙️
Not long after, I learned about something called “location independence” (the buzzword at the time). I realized that if I stayed in real estate, I’d be tied to one city—and I wanted to travel, explore, and build something broader 🌍🚀
Around that time, I started getting a lot of signals, both internally, and from what felt like the universe nudging me forward.
Eventually, I sold or gave away nearly everything I owned, walked away from a successful career, and started over with little more than an idea and a lot of inspiration 🔥
I stayed on that path and did whatever it took đź’Ş
Today, I’ve built a business, team, and company culture that I’m genuinely proud of. And it continues to grow and evolve.
My company, LLC University, teaches people how to form LLCs – for free – in all 50 states. We maintain over 1,000 legal lessons and publish guides for more than 1.5 million readers per year 📚
LLC University is organized as a Benefit Company, which means we’re not driven purely by profit, but by a clear mission: empowering entrepreneurs through free, accessible education.
Over the years, I’ve developed a wide range of skills, from software architecture and content strategy, to company culture and systems design 🌟
The work feels deeply meaningful, especially knowing it helps business owners across the country navigate something that’s often confusing and overwhelming.
One of the most rewarding parts has been building a team and creating values that actually mean something. For example, one of our values is literally “we give a fuck”—and the team truly lives it ❤️ If you’re curious about the culture I’ve built, you can get a feel for it in this recent job description.
