Cats
I’ve been around cats since I can remember. It feels like I’ve always had a connection and understanding with cats. Like wherever I go, the cats come to me LOL! Whether it be a roommates cat, or when I’m traveling. I also really enjoy taking photographs of cats.
I still don’t know where I want to live long-term, but a fun idea would be to have a bunch of cats. (While that sounds fun, I sometimes get frustrated by pet hair… but then, on the other hand, if I have kids, I think having pets is a wonderful experience).
My first cat was Pozy. Here are earliest pictures I have with her. I think I’m about 6 in the first photo, and 10 years old in the second one:

Pozy had kittens too (I remember how excited we were the day she gave birth), 5 of them. And we kept 1. I named him TK, which stood for “Three Kolors”, since he had stripes. I don’t have many photos with TIK, but here is one with my younger brother:

(By the way, I’m the oldest of 3 boys. We’re all about 2-2.5 years apart in age.)
Pozy & TK slept on my bed nearly every night (at least on the night they weren’t fighting and attacking each other LOL!). We were best buddies. Pozy had a soft and gentle energy. She was really sweet. TK was a tough guy, a lovable, dog-like cat. He was so cool! Unfortunately TK ran away when we moved, and the Pozy passed away of old age (I was probably 18 or 19 at the time and had already moved out). My family got a new cat, and named her Sophie. Whenever I would visit, Sophie would always hang out with me, and sleep on my bed. Here’s a few pics of Sophie:

When I moved away for college, I had roommates that had cats, and I also rescued and rehomed 3 different cats when I lived in the city.
These were the 3 cats I rescued and rehomed. First, we have the pregnant cat I found in our back yard (no photos though). Luckily I was able to rehome her in a few days. And she gave birth about a week later.
Then one day, I went to visit one of my rental properties and the tenants actually abandoned and left their cat in the basement 🙁 She was so scared, I had to use thick snow gloves to grab her and get her into a carrier. Then she turned into a love ball!! And I named her Kitty. She always wanted to be on your lap, and to cuddle. I only have a few photos, and she seems to be sleeping in all of them LOL!

One day I came back from a run and this little guy was on my front doorstep. I opened the door and he came right in and made himself at home LOL. I named him Lester. While he looks lethargic in these photos, he was kind of wild and bonkers and had tons of energy!

My roommate at the time had 2 really cool cats… Echo and Teegan. I really bonded with Echo. He was a badass! Another one of those dog-like cats. He was mad chill:

And my other roommate rescued a cat name Marra. Her and I spent a lot of time together:

Fast forward a few years and I moved in with my girlfriend at the time. She has this cat Enzo who was incredible. He was like an asceneded master, in a cats body. Incredible enegy, very intelligent, and he wasn’t afraid of anything. He’s a photo of me giving him some Reiki, and then Enzo on the beach:

Then a few months later, we adopted Shanti. She was adorable. And her and Enzo became best buds!

Then I didn’t have cats for many years.
However, one night in 2019 (I’m living in Orlando), I swing by Publix to grab a little ice cream after dinner (you know, those really tiny Haagen-Daz), and when I went to throw it away, I saw this little guy… must have been 3-4 months old. All by himself, on a busy road. I went to the 7-Eleven and bought him food (and brought a box just in case). And we hung out for a while. I decided to take him home. My plan was to take him to the vet, and rehome him within a few months. But he ended up having behavioral issues. So long story short, I built a website for him and eventually found him a lovely home with a couple, Nice and Aubrey. Here’s the website if you want to see more pics of Mr Snuggles (aka Snugs): https://mrsnugglesthecat.com/

Those are just of the wonderful cats I’ve had in my life. And while I like all animals, I really feel a special soul-like connection to cats. I find them so pretty, elegant, mysterious, and super cute! 💜
